Money $cents

It has been said that, “the love of money is the root of all evil.” It is simply a matter of attitude towards money. Additionally, “divorced couples have revealed that money or finances is one of the reasons of their break-ups”(Blue & White,2008). Furthermore, America is known as the most free country in the world yet Americans are in prison because they are trapped with materialism that often results in enormous debt. It is easy to get into debt but very hard to get out of it. Debt imprisons an individual and like an incurable disease it often isolates people from family and friends. So for those who find themselves trapped in their prison cells, it is not too late to get back the freedom that you and I should enjoy. Now is the time to take a break from uncontrolled spending and do a personal financial assessment. Start by writing what you have such as your income, savings, investments and other assets. On the other hand, write down everything that you owe such as credit card bills and other high-interest debts. Then start paying off debts with the lowest balance by paying extra each month and once that is paid off, apply the amount that you used to pay off the first debt to the next lowest outstanding balance until you pay all outstanding debts and you can breathe and proudly say, “I am truly FREE!”

The HOW TOs of Podcasting Pt. 2

Podcast For Dummies Video
Podcasting requires having the right equipment with the following items needed for podcast: 1. A microphone. Most computers have built-in mics but if there is none, an external one can be purchased; 2. A computer with an audio card; 3. Drivers to run the hardware; 4. A recording software such as Garage Band for Mac and Record It for PC. Additionally, audacitysourceforge.net is a free recording software and highly recommended.
This video gives a clear step - by - step guidelines about how to start a podcast. I like  the video presentation because of its clarity as the presenter spoke slowly and at the same time explaining what certain technology-related words mean. The steps were easy to follow and the benefit of watching it on video is that I can stop and watch again if needed.

The HOW TOs of Podcasting Pt. 1

How To Podcast
This blog covers common questions by beginners on “what is podcasting,” “why should I subscribe,” and “how to subscribe.” According to this blog, “Podcasting is subscribing to a program that you can listen to or watch WHEN and WHERE you want at your convenience by downloading a file.” In other words podcasting involves broadcasting an audio or video file.
One thing that I like about this podcast is that it guides the followers to get to know the world of podcasting and be acquainted with the ins and outs of it. It gives a definition of what podcasting is and why do you subscribe. It also gives the necessary steps on how to subscribe to a podcast. Finally, it provides all the links and sites to access to the podcast that an individual wants to subscribe.

A Tip for how to Format a Blog Post

Blogging is sharing information on the Internet. It promotes interaction among community members on topics that they are passionate about. Blogging has become so popular in today’s high-tech age that people who have access to the Internet are seeking good information that is credible, presented concisely and written in a personable tone. That is why blog planning is extremely important in order to maximize its use. After defining your purpose of blogging the next step is to decide how you would like your site to look that will reflect the topics or messages that you are passionate to write about. And remember to “use plain language which is using words that your website’s visitors can understand the first time.”
Enjoy blogging!

Divine Design

When was the last time you looked at yourself in the mirror? I mean, really looked? Not just checking that the make-up is even or the eye brows are not scattered all over the place which is a constant battle for me because as I get older it seems like my eyebrows are becoming"unruly." Next time you look in the mirror, please take the time to really look at "you." What do you see? Who is that person in the mirror?

Most women especially those living in modern societies with unlimited access to all the knowledge "under the sun" via the Internet are constantly inundated with information that can easily distort the true image of womanhood. It is common among women including myself to compare with other women who are considered beautiful by Hollywood or Bollywood. A lot of women try to be the person they are not and many times this can lead to a lack of appreciation and acceptance of who they truly are, and eventually into depression.

Women, let us pause for a minute and ask this question, "who truly am I?" I may not know you personally but allow me to remind you that you are unique and you are not an accident. You and I are here right now because of Divine Design. You are significant and you are loved.
